    • Miami Bans The Use Of Glyphosate In A Step To Improve Water Quality (NoC)

Ha! That’s the least of its problems.
Glyphosate is very likely the harbinger of a world wide agriculural catastrophy. The demon seed, so to speak.
Glyphosate along with Monsanto’s GMO seeds will kill the world agricultue in the country’s stupid enough to use their products.
India has had nearly 1 million farmers commiting suicide over Monsanto’s GMO seed policies.
Those farmers couldn’t plant seeds from their harvests; but had to buy seed every year from Monsanto.
It ultimately bankrupted most of the farmers barely making a living growing rice.
Only the corporate farms survived; Monsanto is evil; the very devil incarnate!

“Bayer AG shares are down over 12% in European trading..”

There must be a few shareholders thinking revolt by now. Purchasing Monsanto for some $65 billion has already cost a lot of money. It’s all a long term vision, we get it, but they have another 9000 cases to go.

    Let’s hope so (getting it)…
But this company doesn’t deserve to exist!

Something I noticed but forgot to point out earlier: Theresa May now blames her parliament for what’s going wrong with Brexit:

..the people of this country have been waiting nearly three years now. “They are fed up with Parliament’s failure to take a decision and the PM shares their frustration.”

Not only does this show a lack of grace verging on plain rudeness, it’s also borderline insanity. But it no longer really matters, because if and when she seeks a short (3-month) extension to Article 50, her time will be up, either because 1) Europe says NO (because: what’s the use) or 2) as June 30 approaches, she’ll be fired be either her party or Parliament.

Taking a step back, I can only say: What a performance!

Indeed; I remain mystified by this whole debacle…

Great negotiating position, Mrs. May, stellar job.

No wonder they outlawed pitchforks and torches.

Last time I mentioned broomsticks in connection with May I got chided for sexism. So I won’t go there. But I was thinking it. Pitchforks and broomsticks and torches.

re the Schiff article. ultimate irony. the entire US government is under the influence of a foreign power… Israel. the US government is full of dual citizens of another country. the president must be native born but all the most important and powerful posts in the government can and are held by foreign nationals with divided loyalties with the primary loyalty to the foreign country.

On the lighter side, look at who the Guardian says is running for President, from the article quoted above:

Several of the Democratic candidates for US president in the 2020 election, including Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have proposed new taxes on the super-rich to address inequality.
