So I was crossing Constitution Ave to go down 1st street up behind the Capitol to get to a ‘fern bar’ on Independence Ave where Bonnie Raitt played just before her first album was released that year. All of a sudden I see a pair of dress shoes just stopped directly in my walking path, in the middle of the street, and they weren’t going to move, they had just stoppedright there mid-crosswalk.

Odd I thought so I looked up and was literally face to face with a large mean looking man in a suit who was glaring at me with a “get-the-fuck-out-of-my-way-or-I-will-break-your-face” look.

I was exhausted from work and just wanted to get to the bar so I stepped out of the crosswalk.

There were three more large mean dude looking guys behind him and one distinguished important looking guy in the middle of them.
