oh, you may mock whomever. it bears no weight in my mind.

hahaha, it seemed to affect you repeatedly just upthread.

You kinda paraphrased a mid 20th century Socialist who scoffed at the United States “they just make movie stars and razor blades”

“…due to the modification-degradation of American education by adherents to continental European socialism, relativism, postmodernism, deconstructionism, etc. “

wowsers, i thought it was the fruit loops..

hahaha, you think people are not aware of the effect of Continental European Leftists on our educational system as well as our other institutions?

this does not work anymore, what you are doing there. maybe it could be used to cow fellow coeds in a college dorm bull session in 1978 but now it just makes your large polyester lapels show.

We do not care anymore if NPR reading, NY Times reading leftists will think us boorish or ignorant, considering all the revelations about USAID etc – they’re the OPPOSITE of intellectuals now, so trying to use that sort of shorthand makes your side look dumber, more gullible, less aware.

You assholes SENT us this stuff, so it is hilarious watching you complain when we mock it.

    @JohnDay re: holding breath

I had a similar college swimming exercise experience. I don’t remember the time score in minutes, but it was no problem swimming 100 yards under water with air to spare. By the way, rust colored freckles on a purply blue background framed in a mop of seriously red hair was quite a sight.

    I also managed a 10 on the lung test… yay, me! (mid-60’s)

I don’t think anyone has posted this, but it is a extensive deep dive on the concept of technocracy/the technate, its history, and how it fits into events under the current administration. Along the way you’re treated to an extensive personal history of how Elon Musk’s family has been tied into the technocracy movement going back generations. Other stuff on the site seems a little woo-woo, but this article seems well researched and linked to sources.

    Boogaloo:

Good comments yesterday on gold and silver!

Your last paragraph about Bitcoin replacing gold nails it 100%!

Blackrock’s Larry Fink (per article above) wants you to buy Bitcoin to protect against things like gold !

JP Morgan : Only gold is money …..

So Lary Fink wants you to buy Bitcoin to protect yourself against real money!

    WOW !!!

    P. S. The same Larry Fink busy forcing DEI down every company’s corporate throats!
Yeah, I really really, really trust this guy!

    “your side”

transcend the box they’ve given you.

Well, that’s the thing to transcend, this spell of superiority that Leftists have cast over Western Civilization for 50 years, leading to failure and suffering.

We’re transcending NOW- you do NOT have special access to reality and are not better after all.

If everyone “awakening” and “transcending” into Leftist thought could have been deported instantly to Europe as they did so, our architecture, art, sculpture, literature, music, education, industry, government, communities, families, entertainments, hobbies, institutions, practically everything would be better today.

You have to start from the basis that everything government does is socialist. A government can be more or less socialist depending on how much it does. It is not possible for a government to do something legitimately that is not socialist – of course, all governments are riddled with corruption, which is not socialist, but that is not a legitimate government action.

If you are what you do, then government is inherently socialist. Obviously the left wing folk will like this model and will then tend to gravitate towards government, looking to their socialist actions as the solution to many of society’s problems. The education department of government is inherently socialist, so it is not unreasonable that it is full of left wing nuts helping the common man. Private education is different, many of the people in the government education department see the private pupils as the elite, the privileged, the oppressors, so they would not want to work in a private school.

Western governments have expanded to a ridiculous extent since WW2 – probably before as well – and are now significant players in the economy as well as managing the economy (tiktok, tariffs etc). The world of socialism has grown and has empowered all the left wing nuts, the left wing nuts being the soldiers who approve of government expansion and are also the government foot soldiers.

Why is our current situation a surprise to anybody? The left wing has been empowered by government, the left wing grew to be very strong, especially all this woke shite, they then went a bit nuts (as over empowered people tend to do) and now some less left-wing people are trying to pull it back closer to the center. There is no right wing in the west, nobody is calling for the removal of government or anything like that; just a sliming down of government to get “value for money”, still socialist.

Civilisation cannot survive without government, hence socialism, but the real argument is degree. How much do we want the government to run everything, regulate everything, monitor everything, punish everything. Well, many are pushing for government to do things that were unthinkable even ten years ago, such as censorship, government controlling speech, and for many that is a bit too socialist, for others it is a good thing.

Can the people of the west rid themselves of the government’s continuing expansion? Unlikely, it will simply get bigger and bigger until government controls and provides everything. All other forms of authority will be subsumed by government. As government expands, freedom of the individual reduces until the government and the people are at loggerheads.

The stupid thing about it all is that the left wing people will complain about government, but they still want more of it; we must have evolved to see government like parents, or something like that. A comfortable presence that will pick us up if we fall.

    this is getting hard..

being caught in a whirlwind of left versus right clichés demonstrates a certain charming naïveté.

nonetheless, it would be probably be healthier for you to leave behind all these “ism”s you seem to know so much about.

    stick to metabolism!

there is no such thing as socialism anywhere in america – rest easy.

as to capitalism, well, the leading lights of said ism want you dead, useless eater.

    not much to admire there.

    Aspnaz:

The interesting thing about socialism, is once everything in a country is socialized, the country collapses because nobody is willing to work!

It is like telling everybody in the country they must dig a hole.
Most people will say they can’t dig, because they don’t have a shovel!
Those people with shovels will refuse to dig, because nobody else is digging!
Everybody will argue about nobody digging!
However, everybody will agree that this isn’t socialism!
So nothing gets done, which is true socialism!

P.S. I should note some of the early Pilgrims to America believed in socialism.
They all straved to death because nobody would work!.
They did not get to pass along their genes, as a result.

I have a very clear view of the world as it actually is, having seen so much of it up close and personal, and always with the same explicitly conscious purpose (since the age of about 4 yrs, anyway) to no-bullshit actually see what was in front of me, and try to understand it if at all possible no matter how long that might take. The most frequent object of this analytic scrutiny was the lab subject who was most available on short notice and willing to do the work cheapest, namely me. But everyone else incautious enough to get within my range of perception has been fair game too. It reminds me of the old joke about being careful about what you say and do around a novelist or else you might wind up as a character in one of their stories. Yup, I’m sure that’s true about novelists. It sure is true about me.

Anyway, getting back to the subject, I have a very clear view of the world as it actually is, including what guides and motivates the people caught up in and acting out that never-ending story.

In a nutshell what I clearly see is people trying to face up to (or avoid at all costs) the truth that they themselves and virtually all of their brethren have to one degree or another (a very broad range) have done bad things to attain good things, at the expense of others. Now they are faced with the fact that the only way out of the mess they’ve got themselves into is to reverse course and stop doing bad things to get things at other people’s expense. The “cognitive dissonance” [that should read as: “moral dilemma”] of that situation is intolerably uncomfortable, which condition usually expresses itself in the form of blaming others for the very thing that they are actually guilty of themselves). That particular trans-migration of responsibility plays out in the most creatively ingenious ways, too. Real artistry.
