“Social distancing becomes the act of ostracization when overtures are made to end the distance, and one party refuses. With my choir group, we have essentially all been avoiding meeting since March 2020 — but when I “dropped the bomb” and suggested that we meet because we know so much more about the virus, and there is no need to continue to act out of fear…it was shot down, and my bid to return to “normal” was rejected…that feels the same as being ostracized.”

August 23, 2021 at 10:06 am #85022Mister RobotoParticipantIf you see a profusion of tweets on Twitter that could be construed to make you think a certain way on a current issue or event, you should keep in mind that a good many of those tweets could be from what they call “bots”, or computer-programs constructed for the purpose of simulating the activity of a real Twitter-user for the purpose of influencing the public discourse. And you should keep this in mind no matter what the issue or event or the direction in which the apparent tweet-storm is attempting to slant your evaluation.
If that sounds like some kind of conspiracy theory, then there is a section of this substack article that illustrates that this phenomenon is merely a fact of our Very Online popular culture. The main thrust of the article is how the Hillary Clinton faction of the Democratic Party has been increasing going off the rails into Lala-Land, and it makes for a very fascinating read.

August 23, 2021 at 11:29 am #85024Raúl Ilargi MeijerKeymasterGreece this morning:
The Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, sent a message to the unvaccinated in a radio interview with SKAI, noting characteristically: “They will not be able to go anywhere.”
As Mr. Georgiadis stressed, “it is obvious that we are going through a difficult winter, because unfortunately a small, but not insignificant minority of citizens has decided to blow up the health system of our country”.
However, he noted that “the economy is enduring, the government has the issue of the economy under control.”
On the occasion of the framework that will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday, in view of autumn, he stressed that the government does not intend to lock down again. In fact, he characteristically stated that he has no right to impose a lockdown, at least for the vaccinated citizens “.
The minister stressed that the entry in the winter for unvaccinated citizens in places of catering and entertainment is not even discussed, saying characteristically, “they will not be able to go anywhere”.
Note: Greek friends say maybe 10% of people are vaccinated, I think it may be 30%. The government says over 60%. But even then, they can’t afford to exclude 40% from working or spending money into the economy. It’s just a big ugly bluff.
August 23, 2021 at 11:51 am #85025Polder DwellerParticipantWe already know that the vaxxed can still catch Covid. Various numbers are given but, as we know from Israel, once a few months have passed the efficacy is down to 39%. Maybe after a few more months the efficacy drops all the way back to zero, we just don’t know yet.
Once infected, the vaxxed can pass the virus on as easily as the unvaxxed and some reports suggest that may be even easier due to higher titres in the vaxxed.
So what do we have left to justify getting the jab? The stock answer is as Dr Robert Malone says above, “While good at preventing severe disease and death…”, and that’s taken as a given, yet should it be? Can we really say that that is true?
The vaccines were mainly rolled out in the winter and spring In the northern hemisphere and the numbers of “cases” and deaths were sky high during that time. Now in the summer, when respiratory diseases are normally relatively rare, we have (in Europe) around 4-5 times the number of “cases” compared to last year at the same time and deaths are about double. We’re told that this is due to the delta variant which is apparently more contagious but less deadly than previous variants. Fine, that would explain the higher number of “cases” but not the deaths. So where’s the big pay off from having jabbed everybody? Who’s to say in any case that the 80% or so of people who never would have got C19 (as we know free the Diamond Princess) are now catching it because their immune systems have been compromised thanks to having been jabbed?
Add to that the very significant dangers associated with getting the jab in the first place (not to mention the necessary subsequent booster shots) and it looks like we have a lose-lose-lose-lose situation here. Meanwhile all our respective governments and health authorities manage to say is that we must jab and jab again.
August 23, 2021 at 12:11 pm #85026DjangoParticipantThe WHO has been telling people on Facebook that the vaccines are safe and effective and have been met with a storm of protest.
August 23, 2021 at 12:14 pm #85027D Benton SmithParticipantThe following post probably got missed by many because it posted in the latest hours last night, but I think it’s relevant enough to today’s discussions to put it back up for review.
Pertinent and interesting that the following legal definitions (lifted verbatim from legal refrence publications) are equally applicable to both Covid 19 (virus development, disease pandemic, and so-called “vaccine” campaign) and to the debacle of Afghanistan (the war, the failure, and the troop withdrawal) .
[start of quoted material] Fraud must be proved by showing that the defendant’s actions involved five separate elements: (1) a false statement of a material fact,(2) knowledge on the part of the defendant that the statement is untrue, (3) intent on the part of the defendant to deceive the alleged victim, (4) justifiable reliance by the alleged victim on the statement, and (5) injury to the alleged victim as a result.
In United States law, depraved-heart murder, also known as depraved-indifference murder, is a type of murder where an individual acts with a “depraved indifference” to human life and where such act results in a death, despite that individual not explicitly intending to kill. In a depraved-heart murder, defendants commit an act even though they know their act runs an unusually high risk of causing death or serious bodily harm to a person. If the risk of death or bodily harm is great enough, ignoring it demonstrates a “depraved indifference” to human life and the resulting death is considered to have been committed with malice aforethought.[1][2] In some states, depraved-heart killings constitute second-degree murder,[3] while in others, the act would be charged with “wanton murder,”[4][5] varying degrees of manslaughter,[6] or third-degree murder.
If no death results, such an act would generally constitute reckless endangerment (sometimes known as “culpable negligence”) and possibly other crimes, such as assault.
“depraved heart” murder is the form of murder that establishes that the wilful doing of a dangerous and reckless act with wanton indifference to the consequences and perils involved is just as blameworthy, and just as worthy of punishment, when the harmful result ensues as is the express intent to kill itself. This highly blameworthy state of mind is not one of mere negligence… It is not merely one even of gross criminal negligence… It involves rather the deliberate perpetration of a knowingly dangerous act with reckless and wanton unconcern and indifference as to whether anyone is harmed or not. The common law treats such a state of mind as just as blameworthy, just as anti-social and, therefore, just as truly murderous as the specific intents to kill and to harm. [end of quoted material ]I have only one comment to add : There has yet to be even so much as a misdemeanor indictment for any of it.

Hmmm. Like Chicago, 90% unsolved. Almost free-murder pass. And Baltimore, Trenton… And the city, Mayor of the city is…??? That’s right, Democratic: Louisville, Kentucky. Imagine my shock. Why pick on them? NBC never seems to learn. All these bad things, murder rates, racism, crime, bad economies, seem to happen in 50-year Democratic states and cities. Yet it’s the Republicans’ fault, although they haven’t been in power there in decades. Then they put it on the news, “terrible, racist country” and then highlight every DEMOCRATIC location and policy fallout. You see this in New Hampshire? Alaska? Wyoming? Somehow, those red hats in trailers in Oklahoma are causing these shootings in East L.A. Honest! Or Russia, not sure. But DEFINITELY not the MS-13 dealers of Chinese Fentanyl. No, that’s cray-cray.
Do we never get tired? Never sinks in? Why should it? Masks and lockdowns have failed spectacularly everywhere they’ve been tried except to kill children, alcoholics, and double the wealth of billionaires, as doubly shown this week in Oz.

That’s how you know it’s working and we should do it HARDER! The Nazis didn’t shoot dogs, let’s shoot dogs! Can THAT get them to riot? I need a riot down in here. …But the protesters seem to be able to pass freely through the the lines, run round police like they’re not there, which I’d say proves they’re a free, unrestricted county. Keep that up and you’ve proved your point you can do what you want.
So…apparently weren’t able to Color Revolution Cuba and hypothecate it 500:1, so they’ll need more money from somewhere. Selling F-Stan to China? They did print up that $600B (Half a tril’) in SDRs though. Always on the schedule.
So what’s on for today? Pento points out we have no stimulus and a dead economy. That may not be straight deflation, but it’s arguably DIS-inflation. And with all-time high leverage, that can cause a panic. Now later they can print MOAR, but first things first. That’s a fair argument since there is nothing but the Fed, no markets on planet earth, so if they slow the rate-of-rate it now causes a ponzi collapse. Rate-of-rate of $5T/year doubling yearly. 10-year is holding but the real interest rates are starting to signal. If I were them, I’d 5x my money in BTC, then drop the “Deflation” on it’s head. Because that keeps it from getting out of control to millions. “Deflation” is by definition US$ getting stronger, relative to assets, and may not last long, panic to safety, close margin, pay debts, but is what it is. Fall is coming up, with Roshanah Sept 6. End of US Fiscal-year right soon, they’ll need a lot not to bankrupt with Joe sittin’ on the pot.

Everything you see is a lie. Back when, they even had friends and family members advocating for Hellman’s mayo, Smoke Lucky Strike: They’re Smooth! , political parties they obviously didn’t support, and so on. They gave that up as being too obvious, but moved to this airdrop of carpet-bots. This is why you can’t have liars around, enable and coddle them, and must be cut off and ring-fenced until they prove their reform. If you let everyone wander around lying all day, society itself dissolves, as we see.
Of course that’s the POINT, (plus the profitable con) but we’re not supposed to HELP them ruin us.
August 23, 2021 at 12:26 pm #85030deflationistaParticipantMost people I know would prefer to avoid the same sort of outcome as Mr. House. Losing taste and smell is just something I would like to avoid if at all possible. Never mind all of the other long haul symptoms. So, I will take precautions to avoid those negative outcomes. Like wearing a mask when in stores and avoiding large crowds in closed spaces. These just seem like common sense precautions to take. You think I enjoy wearing a mask? Or avoiding certain situations? My neighbor also has no taste or smell after contracting the virus in May 2020. His wife got infected and now has recurring episodes of headaches. My brother in law suffers from a deep fatigue and brain fog after contracting covid last summer. Some people might have an easy time with covid, but there are millions of people who suffer for a long time. Maybe forever. We don’t really know, do we? Feeling lucky?
I think a lot of people just take issue with those out there who mock the virus and ridicule those who, for their own personal reasons, would prefer not to spend the rest of their lives plagued by diminished cognition or no taste or smell or dead. Some of those concerned people might also be aware of underlying conditions that might make their experience different from all of those “brave freedom warriors” out there berating anyone who is concerned, by telling them they should go and hide under their bed in fear or mock them for getting a vaccine. More and more, those same blowhards find themselves begging for air and a second chance as the doctor inserts the tube for the last time. I guess they should have thought about that before acting like an asshole about a global pandemic. Karma tends to be a bitch.
Thanks to Raul for posting the national geographic article. I was going to post that here in reference to the neurological symptoms. I am not sure why anyone would want to go down that road.
Also a good article regarding breakthrough cases and what we know and don’t know:
“Most vaccinated people no longer need to fear dying of a coronavirus infection. They are also much less likely to have to go to the hospital. But they do want to avoid getting seriously sick with an illness that, even if not life-threatening, could be profoundly unpleasant; they worry about giving the virus to others who are vulnerable; and they fear developing long covid—a syndrome of fatigue, shortness of breath, cognitive problems, and loss of taste or smell—after even a mild breakthrough infection.”

If push finally comes to shove, Old White Joe can also blame Trump for the ‘vaccine failure’
After all, he just ‘inherited’ the program.
The big thing to watch for now is if there is wholesale mutiny in the military ranks about getting a mandatory Clot Shot this fall.

There is little media coverage of the obvious disconnect in the handling of this shooting and other uses of force against protesters in recent riots. Even law professors are largely silent on the implications of a finding that the shooting of an unarmed protester is justified. Babbitt seems to be treated as “fair game” because she was part of the January 6th riot. There is also the general lack of interest in the media and in academia on the implications of these decisions to clear the unnamed officer.

“The FDA will do what it thinks it needs to do to make sure that the American public is safe,” he said.Initially, full authorization was expected to arrive in September, but the Biden Administration has ramped up the pressure in recent days. Full approval opens the door to several activities that were barred under the emergency authorization: Pfizer can now advertise the jab, and it can now continue to vaccinate people even after the COVID “emergency” is deemed over. Pfizer can also now raise the price of the vaccine. They have already raised the price of the jab in the EU.
Pfizer and BioNTech have both said they intend to generate billions of dollars in revenues (and likely profits) from sales of the jab.

August 23, 2021 at 3:19 pm #85041phoenixvoiceParticipantIn the current environment, an “unvaccinated” person could be prosecuted for “depraved heart murder” for simply going about their usual business.
A naturally immune unvaccinated person could be prosecuted for this…because the state does not recognize that form of immunity, nor the results of antibody tests, etc., to indicate immunity.
In the Australian news video, the infected guy leaving his apartment could be so prosecuted.

New genius move to convince the unvaxxed: “Our approach hinges on your willingness to give up control; to acknowledge that the person you’re trying to change has autonomy and will make their own decision.”
So…you’re saying up ‘til now you considered all life forms as NOT having autonomy because your life until now depended on controlling everyone and telling them what to do. Got it. Karen.
“When we demonstrate empathy, we show the other person that we believe they have valid needs and concerns.” Of course, that is “Fake Believe”, that is lie about caring and believing they have valid concerns. Or we wouldn’t be doing this to make them change their minds, would we? I mean, that would be CONTROLLING, manipulating them, Oops! Back to step one.
“In practice, empathy is about validating the other person’s perspective without agreeing or disagreeing with them. It’s making true statements that show the other person that you understand them to their satisfaction.”
Classic psychological manipulation techniques, used by psychologists worldwide. And it sounds phony because it IS phony. Really they backed up one level and like all liars, appear to do the right things with their bodies, however, the INTENT of their hearts remains unchanged: “I’M the master; Do what I say.”

Do I exaggerate? “Trump has zero inclination to try to control the creature he has built. Look at exactly what he said on vaccines — both before and after he was booed: “I believe totally in your freedoms…but I recommend, take the vaccines. I did it. It’s good. Take the vaccines,”
You’re right, telling all his followers to take the vaccine on national TV is totally “zero inclination” … in CNN #OppositeLand, telling people to take the vaccine is telling them NOT to take the vaccine. Meanwhile Joe and Kamala saying “I’ll NEVER take Trump’s rushed, unsafe vaccine” “No one at the White House or CDC has to take it” is telling people TO take the vaccine.
Don’t know why I follow a news source with the circulation of DesMoines Pennysaver, but it’s fun to watch them thrash, have seizures, and run around with their -sses on fire.
FDA, yup, there it is. And Trump’s vaccine, what could be better? It has to be that ALL central authorities are discredited. If not, the riggers will just hijack the remaining ship and make THAT the new god. Trump is no exception. If he’s around his MAGA really WILL just hand it all to the GOP, even purged, the military, even mostly patriotic, etc. The only safe place to hand the government, the POWER to is YOU: the People. YOU are the army. YOU are the government. If he remains you/they won’t do that.
“Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning, because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.” –2017. Doesn’t bother me a bit. I don’t see any contradictions. Just the annoyance of having to weather the next 3-6 months and probably, unfortunately, be right again. Free information, discussion, medical choice against extraction and oppression, how about you?

Last year, I felt much as you. I did not want that lab created virus in my body. I wore an N95 mask inside two airports and a short flight…wearing it for so long made me feel a little strange, light-headed, it was with some desperation that I removed it when I stepped outside again. I did not want to worry what the outcome of contracting the virus would be. I was betrayed by my parents and my sister and exposed. Oh, how deeply that betrayal cut…all of my efforts to avoid the virus shredded by people I trusted. It still stings a bit. I learned that if I want to take such precautions I must have the hard conversations even with those I trust and love.
Then I was desperately trying to find a doctor to prescribe HCQ — I was terrified that my asthmatic mother would be hospitalized, a place dangerous to her without being alert because the smell of most hand-sanitizers causes her to begin anaphylaxis! My then 14 year old son made signs to post in her possible future hospital room, warning away the dreaded hand sanitizer. I lost my sense of smell and taste and wondered if it would ever return. I worried that I would yet again miss a medical appointment that had taken me forever to get scheduled because I was told that I couldn’t be seen until I’d had a negative PCR after the positive one.
But my mom used her inhaler and in a few days was fine. My partner’s intermittent fevers ceased after 9 days. My kids never got sick, never got positive PCR tests. My sense of smell and taste returned.
I now understand that most people survive Covid with no problems or complications. It’s ironic — deaths and long-term issues of the virus are being heralded and emphasized by the media while deaths and long-term issues of the vaccine are being buried. Shouldn’t information on both be available so that people in a democratic society are free to learn about what is going on and make wise, informed choices?
Once we had survived Covid I needed to understand the significance of that event. And now I understand that due to a veiled agenda Covid survival is being buried, discarded, discounted. If I lived in NYC I would be prevented from shopping. If I lived in Australia I would be under lockdown orders. If I lived in the UK or Europe I would be getting endless, superfluous Covid tests to perpetually prove to authorities that I am not infected. My choir-member friends are afraid to meet me face to face, afraid of what might happen if I caught Covid from their vaccinated self! I have sung masked, amidst a sea of unmasked and vaccinated individuals, while I am the only person in the room with durable immunity.
This is madness.

I will walk without fear into a Covid-19 ICU unit right now without any PPE on whatsoever…I will bet my life that I’m sterile immune to the virus as a result of said infection and recovery.
I do the same. After 7 months of fear, it is perpetually beautiful walk without it.
August 23, 2021 at 4:02 pm #85045Dr. DParticipantSure, deflationista, that’s why we sadly allow the vaxxed to go on scolding and haranguing us but I don’t make them NOT wear masks. I don’t take the vaccine from them. I wish they would show the same courtesy, I mean being the law and human rights and all.
So the entire article of nothing but charts showing mask mandates and lockdowns having zero effect on cases/transmission has no effect on you? Here, let me try again: https://ianmsc.substack.com/p/the-more-masks-fail-the-more-we-need
Every place that has lockdowns and masks is worse than every place that doesn’t. (I guess except Oz, which is worse than Kabul for other reasons) I’m safer in every nation that ignored all Covid or at least no worse, than I am in all the “terribly serious” nations. Sweden is better than NY or no worse. Texas is better than Michigan. Afghanistan seems totally free. India, with weak, health-impaired people, is better than all of them. So I would wear a mask on 2 years of perpetual data of failure for why? 100 years of data, since 1916? On Fauci’s own declarations, his own emails? On the recent CDC study? On the AAPS report? https://aapsonline.org/mask-facts/ On the cross-state study in Germany where even N95s failed? Is there no data or number of years that can possibly create science over CNNs, “not science”?
…And yet I don’t stop you from wearing yours. It’s your body and your right. I don’t even really make fun of you, I understand. I just have my own conclusions and opinions as all living things must. However, beware, the rules are killing everybody on earth except Jeff Bezos, and ending all human rights. Consider well the whole of the moon.

Yep, that’s a confidence booster, sign me right up. You only force people to do things when they have no confidence in you or your actions.

And it may launch a race for booster shots, allowing doctors to prescribe extra Pfizer-BioNTech shots “off label” to anyone they think should get one.”
The irony to surpass all ironies. *facepalm*
August 23, 2021 at 6:09 pm #85053phoenixvoiceParticipantKiss goodbye all of the lawsuits fighting the mandates based on grounds that there was no FDA approval. I always knew that argument wasn’t going to stick.
Small sigh of relief that for the 12-15 crowd there is still only EUA. My boys turn 16 in May. If it gets mandated for high school next year I’m going to be stuck…my ex supports vaccination and we have joint legal decision making. I need the mainstream narrative to blow up in the next 9 months.
August 23, 2021 at 6:09 pm #85054TDubParticipantWe are continuously told that it is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” with scary statistics like 99% of those in the hospital are unvaxxed. Does anyone have a source for that data? I’m guessing it would have been shared on TAE, either in the debt rattle or in the comments, but not finding easily.
August 23, 2021 at 6:13 pm #85055phoenixvoiceParticipantAny news on prophylaxis for vaccine adverse reactions? Maybe ivermectin can bind to the trillions of spike proteins created and prevent the damage? If so, I’ve 9 months to get some.
August 23, 2021 at 6:17 pm #85056DoraParticipantThe govt’s entire handling of the C19 pandemic hasn’t made much sense to me. Re-reading this 2018 Philip Mirowski article about neoliberalism seems to put an organizing structure around the govt’s actions – at least in my mind. You can read the whole article or just skip down to the eleven numbered points. Is this “markets are in control and should be in control of govt ” philosophy in action? I don’t know. But Pfizer renaming their C19 jab for better marketing purposes is interesting.
” Far from trying to preserve society against the unintended consequences of the operations of markets, as democratic liberalism sought to do, neoliberal doctrine instead set out actively to dismantle those aspects of society which might resist the purportedly inexorable logic of “catallactics,” and to reshape it in the market’s image. For neoliberals, freedom and the market would be treated as identical. Their rallying cry was to remove the foundation of liberty from natural rights or tradition, and reposition it upon an entirely novel theory concerning what a market was, or should be. They could not acknowledge individual natural rights, because they sought to tutor the masses to become the agent the market would be most likely to deem successful. The market no longer gave you what you wanted; you had to capitulate to what the market wanted. All areas of life could be better configured to behave as if they were more market-like. ”
August 23, 2021 at 6:29 pm #85057John DayParticipant@Deflationista: You can lay in stock, or use daily, zinc plus a metabolic delivery system for it.
You should be replete with vitamin-D, of course. Take 5000 units per day, or titrate your dose to a blood level of 60-100. It takes a couple of months at a dose for the blood level to equilibrate.
Zinc has been known since about 1995 to interfere with coronavirus intracellular replication, but your body does not actively transport zinc into cells. Quercetin, a natural food plant product, found in onions, green tea and many vegetables, is a zinc ionophore. It helps zinc get into cells. Your gut does not absorb quercetin very well, but sunflower lecithin greatly facilitated gut absorption of quercetin (“… she swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don’t know why she swallowed the fly…”)
Once per day take 25-50 mg zinc, quercetin (250-500 mg, with or without bromelain) and a capsule (250-500 mg is plenty, but they are often bigger) of lecithin.
Up that to 3 times per day for active COVID.
Don’t take enough ivermectin for a horse 10 X your weight.
You will get nausea, vomiting, the runs and feel woozy.
You won’t die. You’ll just feel like you should have done the math.
Get ivermectin from India. Get it before you are sick.
Germ posted that again recently. -
