Peace will come when the enemies are all dead.
Ceasefire will come when the USA cannot supply any more ammunition.

Wearing my Bobby ’24 sweatshirt from April 2023 for the first time today since he embraced the Gaza genocide and Kucinich left the campaign last Fall. Not holding out for perfect, but dammit that speech Bobby gave on Friday was one for the record books. Interesting times!
August 25, 2024 at 3:54 pm #167412D Benton SmithParticipantThe US wants to have and control back-doors in Telegram’s software (which is based on blockchain-style security) as well as censor it. That’s why they ordered France to arrest Pavel Durov.
The situation looks big, but in reality it’s even bigger than that. Basically the spooks are attempting to capture the very FOUNDATION of free speech on the internet by owing the security software that everybody uses. Spies will be spies, after all.
The idea, of course, is to make it illegal to report crime. “You can’t talk about the crimes I’m committing against you !”
August 25, 2024 at 3:58 pm #167413jb-hbParticipantKursk 2.0 Salient
Still expanding!
Most interestingly, that long thin penetration working northward in the center has grown westward while a bulge reaches north from the northwest corner of the salient to meet it – Russian forces in Kremyanoe ARE in a Kessel.
That Ukraine is kesseling Russian forces at the furthest extent of the Kursk salient (as opposed to some new attack closer to the base or to their original start line) says to me that Ukrainian logistics IS reaching all the way up to the northern tip of the salient.
Looks like Ukraine is trying to form a larger kessel at the western base of the Kursk 2.0 salient.
I’m getting this from maps at southfront – ostensibly a pro-Russian website. If THEY are showing this on maps, Ukraine is probably doing at least that good.
Around the eastern base of the Kursk 2.0 salient, looks like Ukraine made a move for Belista and tried to make a kessel out of the area to the west of that – This would have captured another road junction like with Suzdzha, embarassing Russian movement and logistics yet again.
Russian forces clearly did not like that prospect at all and have beaten back the southern pincer. Having pushed that one back, the northern pincer around Russkaya Konopelka is meeting resistance as well, but being deeper into Russia with no major road junctions to capture nor other pincer to meet it, we can wish them a pleasant trip to nowhere, I suppose.
IS the Kursk offensive a bloodbath, a mistake for Ukraine? Or is something different going on?
What happens with the Kremyanoe kessel will be the litmus test. If that weird L shaped northern Ukranian salient off the main bulge ends up surrounded, then yes, it’s a stupid kamikaze attack after all. If Ukraine closes the gap, surrounds Kremyanoe, and gobbles it up, then something very different is going on. My half assed guess is that we should see in 1-3 days.

I remember reading somewhere that Tulsi is another one of Trump’s advisors…..August 25, 2024 at 4:08 pm #167415D Benton SmithParticipantAt the risk of sounding as absurdly simple minded as you probably already think I am, I want to say that the reason the bad guys are so over-the-top on trying to stop you from saying the truth over the internet is that they REALLY don’t want jillions of people telling each other the truth over the internet. Such a situation could get completely of control very quickly if that ever happened.
Now if you would simply STOP telling the truth over the internet (by self censoring, for example) then they wouldn’t have a problem.
I hope I’ve made it absurdly obvious that the only way to fix any of this is to stop self-censoring and continue to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth to anyone willing to listen, and ESPECIALLY doing so over the internet. Telegram is still running, and so is the internet.
Screw the feared “consequences”. What are they going to do if you report a crime that they don’t want you to report, arrest you? There aren’t enough jail cells in the Galaxy, and we outnumber the dirty cops by a thousand to one.
August 25, 2024 at 4:15 pm #167416D Benton SmithParticipantAugust 25, 2024 at 4:19 pm #167417D Benton SmithParticipantTrump, JFK Jr, and now Musk climbing into bed together is a remarkable sight. Talk about strange bedfellows. Are they the Three Musketeers, or Siamese Triplets?
Think of yourself, the citizen, as a piece of raw meat between two hyenas, one of which is in late stage rabies.
One is only marginally “better” than the other.
August 25, 2024 at 4:19 pm #167418jb-hbParticipantit should be obvious, but I’ll emphasize, if Ukraine can mount new encircling attacks at the northern edge of the Kursk salient, then it follows that Russian air and artillery is NOT cutting off Ukrainian logistics.
Therefore not dominant on that battlefield.
Unless the Ukrainians carried all the fuel, ammo, food, and reinforcements they’d need into the tip of the salient back on 8/6 such that they could keep eating and shooting and being shot without resupply 8/6-8/25.
Or unless Russia is letting them get there by choice? I don’t think getting encircled is a choice.
How many guys did they pack in there, that fresh attacks can be mounted like that 2 weeks later?
August 25, 2024 at 4:22 pm #167419D Benton SmithParticipantJust thought of another metaphor. Both geopolitical factions are driving the Highway to Hell, but one of them wants to take the Fast Lane.

Russia is letting in just enough re-supply and reinforcement (not too much, not too little) that the meat grinder continues to run. It’s a war of attrition against NATO and the collective West, but especially the hub, America.
August 25, 2024 at 4:42 pm #167421jb-hbParticipantI was checking on this “joy” shit I keep hearing about Democrats. Yeah, I guess it is true. All this shit about joy. WTF.
At the DNC, saying REPUBLICANS are “Trying to kill joy”
Uh, who has been the killjoys for the past 8-10 years now, silencing free speech, humor, going after jokes and memes, ruining every entertainment, every hobby, making every public space no matter how small or niche into a walk-ing-on-eggshells joyless quasi witchunt?
At this point, I am inclined to even blame painting everything grey on them as well, since it is consistent with all their other efforts.
Might we say they are fighting for Joy? What would such a unit of Democrats fighting for joy be like? A Joy Battalion? But what if you could put 3 Democrat Joy Battalions together, you’d have a Democrat Joy Regiment then – even better!
2 Joy Regiments would make an excellent Democrat Joy Brigade.
But surely the ultimate would be 3 Joy Regiments to form a Democrat Joy Division.
August 25, 2024 at 5:03 pm #167422jb-hbParticipantDems vs. GOP: ‘Which house party do you want to go to?’
Uhhh, go to the Democrat party and experience the social equivalent of a knife fight in a phone booth? There Shall Be No Discussion Or Humor? You may have been cool or secure for a minute there but then you made a misstep? Fool, relaxing for even a second!
Or joke around with the Babylon Bee guys smoking cigars and drinking?
Uhhhh…. what IS this bullshit?
Did they run a bunch of focus groups and the 2 biggest takeaways were
1. Democrats are creeping people out – their brand has become freaks and weirdos – therefore the new slogan: “Republicans are weird!”
2. Democrats have been insufferable killjoys for a decade or more – therefore “We Are The Joy. Republicans want to kill joy in the future!” (the joy we already killed in the past…)
August 25, 2024 at 5:24 pm #167423Doc RobinsonParticipantBurning tanker news, from a Yemeni source:
The “Sounion” ship was crossing the Red Sea when Yemeni naval boats attempted to intercept it routinely, but the ship resorted to a show of force instead of diplomacy. According to images released by the ship’s owning company and circulated by activists on Telegram, armed individuals aboard the ship began firing at Yemeni naval boats, a narrative confirmed by Reuters and Bloomberg in reports last weekend.
It is not known whether there were victims in these confrontations, but it is certain that the ship’s crew believed that with the force accompanying them, they were able to secure the ship’s passage through the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, a task that American and Western fleets have failed to achieve since last January.
The armed confrontations around the ship did not last long before a resounding response came in the form of missiles and drone boats that damaged the ship and forced it to deviate. However, media reports and navigational sources stated that the Yemeni forces did not stop there, but a team managed to board the ship after evacuating its crew and set it on fire, as shown in satellite images displaying three separate fires aboard the ship.
The burning of the ship may imply several possibilities, notably that Yemeni forces are attempting to dispose of the oil on board the ship by setting it on fire and preventing it from leaking into the sea. Another possibility is that the fire is a strong message to any company attempting to bypass Yemeni decisions by force, and more importantly, it is a message to the American forces that announced days ago the redeployment of a third fleet in the Red Sea under the leadership of the aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln.”
August 25, 2024 at 5:39 pm #167425zerosumParticipantA carrier strike group (CSG) is a type of carrier battle group of the United States Navy. It is an operational formation composed of roughly 7,500 personnel, usually an aircraft carrier, at least one cruiser, a destroyer squadron of at least two destroyers or frigates, and a carrier air wing of 65 to 70 aircraft.
Carrier strike group – Wikipedia
The operational cost of a Carrier Strike Group (CSG) can be quite substantial.
On average, it costs about $6 million to $8 million per day to operate a CSG12.
This includes the expenses for the aircraft carrier itself, the associated air wing, and the supporting ships and submarines.

The Resistance took its time deciding which of the targets I will talk about later it was going to target in its operation.
The Resistance also took its time in carrying out its response during the heightened state of alert of the “israeli” enemy and the Americans to avoid the failure of the operation.
In addition, the Resistance wanted to give the needed time for the negotiations for Gaza since they were announced after we vowed to respond. We did not want to obstruct them.
The state the enemy was in and the economic losses they were continuing to face during the period of awaiting the response was also an added win for postponing the response further. These are the reasons the response took some time.
We put a set of standards for the target of our response: it was not to be a civilian target, although the enemy targeted civilians and it is our right to target civilians if we wanted, nor infrastructure. It was to be a military target.
We wanted the target to be related to the recent assassinations and so the target was the Glilot base, which was the base from which the assassinations were being carried out, and which is also taking part in psychological warfare against our people.
The Glilot base contains Unit 8200, which is responsible for general intelligence, spying, and espionage. It is 110 km from the Lebanese border and only 1,500 meters from the “Tel Aviv” border.
We were either going to target a base linked to military intelligence or the air force because they are linked to the assassination of the martyr Fouad Shokor, and the target would have been close to Tel Aviv, thus being in the depths.
In addition to the Glilot base, a number of barracks and military sites were also targeted, whether in northern occupied Palestine or the occupied Syrian Golan, in order to exhaust the Iron Domes, which would allow the drones to cross into the depths.
As for the weapons used, it was decided that all the sites in northern occupied Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan would be targeted with Katyusha rockets first to exhaust the Iron Dome.
It was decided that the brothers would launch 300 Katyusha rockets & distribute them among these sites because this number was sufficient, and they distributed them according to their assessment & generosity. They ended up firing 340 rockets in total.
The second weapon that was used was drones of different sizes. They were launched from the Beqaa, meaning they would travel a significant distance inside Lebanon before part of them continued on to the Glilot base. All drones passed the borders successfully.
We also set another sub-target, which was an air defense base in the Ein Shemer area.
The enemy claimed to have targeted 6,000 rockets and drones and rejoiced thwarting an attack. Their Hollywood imagination even took them as far as to claim they bombed our heavy missiles. Of course, none of this is true.
The time assigned for the operation was after Fajr prayer at 5:15 am. All missile and drone launchers were set and programed from the night before. Our launchers were north of the Litani river and south of it, and also in the Beqaa.
All missile & drone platforms worked effectively with no exceptions. Not a single platform was hit before the start or after the operation. We fired not only 300 but 340 missiles. The raids the enemy carried out failed to target even a single platform.
The enemy’s narrative was very contradicting, and many from the entity advised Netanyahu to adjust his statements before 6 pm since “someone” was going to speak at 6 pm. Claims of a target inside “Tel Aviv” or the Ben Gurion Airport are lies.
The enemy’s claims of our intent to target civilians in the north is a false claim, and the evidence lies in the sites and barracks that were targeted in the north, and if there are any civilian casualties there, it is due to their interceptor missiles.

They went to capture and/or bomb a NUCLEAR POWER PLANT.
Let that sink in a moment.
Then when they failed [loser alert] Nazilensky denied that was why they invaded. Typical lies
Then at was to make a “buffer zone”. More lies
Then it was to capture Russian soldiers as “bargaining chips”. More Lies.
Then it was for “leverage” in negociations. More Lies.
Russia will now never negotiate, like NEVER.
They will accept an unconditional surrender. Period

Yes, Spies as in executable So Sad :>(
So quit thinking this Kursk Farce will end in anything but total crushing humiliation for Ukronaziland and the Empire of Lies. They are already bleeding from their asses.
They are corralled and compressed into a very small kill zone for FAB glide bombs and massive drone attacks and contrary to anything you’ve read have virtually no resupply. Russia can easily see all routes in to the Nazilensky Suicide Charge.

The technique requires maintaining a delicate balance. If they simply closed their fist and annihilated everyone trapped in the “kill jar” then the conveyor belt would simply stop. The trick is to entice the Ukronazis to keep sending more troops and equipment by making it appear that they just might have a chance of success . . . but that chance is simply an illusion being stage-set by the Ruskies.
What amazes me is that NATO falls for it because dead Ukrainians, Poles, Frenchies and Mercs is no skin off their own nose, and puts billions more bucks in their pocket. Let the good times roll.

Agreed
But I think the Russians are timing the Kursk Smoothie Maker with the speed in the collapse of the Donbas contact line. Driving the Ukronazi’s back up against the Dneiper is going to be quite the Big Top Show.
Interestingly Alexander at the Duran, a lawyer himself, says he has never heard the Russians say in any public forum that invading russian territory was “a Red Line”.
He says they have never said that. Launch missiles deep into Russia is a red line but not simply crossing into Russian soil.

“”In total, during the military actions in the Kursk directio:
the enemy lost more than 5,800 servicemen,
72 tanks,
31 infantry fighting vehicles,
58 armored personnel carriers,
383 armored combat vehicles,

the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost five anti-aircraft missile systems,
11 multiple launch rocket system launchers, including three HIMARS and one MLRS,
nine electronic warfare stations,
a counter-battery radar, an air defense radar,
five units of engineering equipment, including two engineering vehicles and one UR-77 mine clearing unit.

August 26, 2024 at 2:33 am #167449WESParticipantKursk Bridgehead:
One thing most people overlook is that by invading Russia, Russia can now bring to bear new arm forces of conscripts to fight the Ukrainians.
Before these conscripts were sitting idlely by just watching, since they can’t legally be sent outside of Russia.
Now these Russian conscripts are helping speed up the war of attrition by killing Nazis.
This is what is so brilliantly stupid about Ukrainians/Nato/US invading Russia!
So, please do moar! The Russians will gladly trade more land for more invader’s dead bodies!
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
It is what they have always done!
