All trades have two ends, two reasons, two correlations. Stocks are dropping RELATIVE to dollars so dollars are rising RELATIVE to stocks.
Okay, back to what happens: Powell cuts WHEN IT BREAKS. Only when it breaks, never until it breaks. Yields haven’t been this inverted since 1929. (also due to currency imbalances. And 1987, intentional currency imbalances). Guess what? Stocks and the economy don’t drop on the inversion, they drop on the END of the inversion. Done. Guess what? The Fed doesn’t cut UNTIL it crashes, they don’t cut before. That means, roughly, a Fed cut CAUSES the crash, it doesn’t cure it. Or it doesn’t “Help” until much later. It was only just ‘08, what happened? Same thing. Everyone said it wouldn’t then either.
The market was like “Powell Pivot!” “Boy I sure hope Powell cuts!” What. The. F—? Okay, head on straight, that out of the way, what happens now? BoJ caused it, and therefore they PLANNED it. How? Don’t they crash? Crash? Why? The BoJ may SEEM like they’re failing, they had to buy the entire bond market, then the entire Nikkei market, then the entire UST market, then the entire Russian Gas market.
Huh. Well, sounds like they’re pretty covered, no matter what happens. Yeah, actually WORKING and making stuff does that for ya.
The US? Well, bad but not yet. Fed knows this, because Japan told everyone, and they’re not dumb. Again, money is going TO US Treasuries, US$ as safety trade. We also have oil. And the motion is going to punch Yellen, Biden, and Warren right in the face with an anvil. That is, the communist budget deficit people. The ones who pass every law to stop business, employment, and productivity. ONE MINUTE before the election: dodge this. Huh.
So SOMEbody’s losing. It ain’t Russia. Who does that leave?
EUROPE. Like I said. Core currency fails LAST. Japan is covered, and Asia won’t like it but seem okay. That leaves the designated loser: Europe. If you’re going to safety are you going to a continent with a losing world war? With a manufacturing base that has no energy? That does NOT have the core currency AND can’t print-at-will like the Fed can? That is already broke, has no trade surplus, and no taxing power to say, pay unemployment? Keynesian offset?
There you go. And BTC may act like gold but at the moment it’s a risk-on asset, and sold. The US$ may fall 30% to equalize our problems and boost trade, but at the moment it’s probably working. BRIICS will DEFINITELY cut off payments, deficits, bonds for the US but that takes a minute. And it’s also a good thing, something we’ve been saying since “That giant sucking sound” : DON’T RIG THE CURRENCY. It will cause manufacturing flight, unemployment, and utter collapse. None of these will help Europe.

It’s very accommodating of Nike to just lay it out there in simple English (with accompanying video) in no uncertain words.
So the question is whether the listed anti-social personality disorder type traits make one a bad person. The answer of course is yes, of course they do. That’s why the traits are considered to be bad.
Some people, however, don’t think that those traits are bad. They think that they are GOOD, and such people are more than willing to smack you over the head with those traits until you submit if you don’t agree.
These people are called “winners”, and they tend to be quite proud of that designation, and are happy to tell you so. The video advertisement by Nike implies the message perfectly. It implies that deep down inside all of us actually want to be a “winner” too, and so that desire must be a good thing after all.

Competitive sports is a good thing because it is a relatively safe way for you to experience the fact that people like that actually DO exist, and that they do not limit their game to the basketball court or track. They are the “winners” who run this world, and they have nothing but disdainful contempt for us “losers”.
Moving on to more cheerful topics, let’s consider the “Borders” of various places like the Ukraine, African Sahel, and Israel/Palestine (to name but a few).
If you think that those crisp black lines on world maps demarcate stably agreed-upon borders then I want some of what you’re smoking.
I one thousand percent guarantee that there are LOTS of people on both sides of ALL of those lines who are of the opinion that those lines are not in exactly the right place. In fact, they would change them if they could, and that just as soon as they can, they WILL.
If they had their way for a moment or two then they would MOVE those lines. Of course that’s only if they had their own for a little while and there was nobody stopping them. That could never happen, right? So no need to worry about borders drastically shifting or anything like that. Certainly THAT has never (NOT) happened before.
That’s why living near borders is so exciting. Ya never know when that border might shift, because for as far back as the historical record can be known, those borders have done nothing but shift, shift, and shift again. Ya always known THAT they will, but you just never know for sure WHEN they will., until they DO.
Quite the puzzle. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle where the sizes and shapes of the pieces keep changing, but it’s always the same puzzle.
Anyway, just a heads up. A lot of borders are about to change now that the Dollar is going down the toilet forever. These changes are likely to occur very swiftly and with large effects upon overall security (and especially financial security) in the short-term immediate effect of the Dollar crash. That initial drop won’t be the end of it, of course, but it sure as sunset will grip everyone’s full attention.
I wish I could say full and UNDIVIDED attention, but alas that is unlikely to be the case. Plenty of other stuff is going South at the same time, so attention is NOT going to be undivided.
And MEEEEEEANWHILE, is world’s stock market melting into toxic goo as we speak or is it not? The Fed is printing faster than a Zimbabwe Prince (just add zeroes until the number runs off the edge of the bill) and they MAY contain the multi-trillion demolition of Japan’s market. But that may not work. Give it another 24 hours to settle out. In any case the end of the rope approacheth. FAST.

I’ll chime in on the Nike bullshit ad. I think they pathologise because they project. I mean they are admen and psychopaths who make factories where you jump out a building window a net throws you back to slavery.
The thing they can’t see is that the athlete competes against THEMSELVES. The other competitors are all trying to be their best against themselves. The time spent in competitive sports where you are playing at scratching peoples eyes out is .000005% of the time in practice.
