Here’s the thing though: No one notices. Words have no meanings. Brains are all shut off. They just SAY, whatever is the worst thing to say in that moment. Just like this article. Why? Because the correct and accurate thing to say is TOTALLY BORING AND ORDINARY. Trump hired some guys. Those guys are going to do their jobs. There isn’t really an over-arching religious doctrine driving them, so he grabbed the best guy he could that would be willing to take the fire. They all are strong individuals, and Trump and the individuals are mostly all good with that. No one knows what will happen as they’re not in yet.
What’s the problem here? Normally they would be LYING, snowing you, non-stop PR fake simulacrum of unified “Policy” while in fact, mostly the same thing would be happening, except everyone hired would be kleptocratic war-mongering statists. So their policy and view would be slightly more aligned. But really it’s the PR ILLUSION being removed that’s upsetting everyone. They can’t stand that there’s no LIE to hand-hold them, pat them on the head and say “It’s all okay.”
What actually happens? He hires a bunch of guys. They have to report back in conference and say what they’re doing, their points of view. They clash at the table as say, Budget is rival to, War or something. Trump just listens and picks one since they’re basically all similar, it’s true that BOTH are critical, but to get anything done, you need to pick ONE. Fast. If too much trouble is had, they’re fired with no hard feelings and replaced. FAST. And move on, fast, everything behind us. He may try to lean into Don Jr’s plan one day, but the next day bigger things push him into Vance’s view.
If you’ve been in a closet for the last 500 years, THAT’S HOW HIERARCHIES WORK. There’s a Boss. Everyone is boss of their area, but ultimately decisions that rise up are chosen by the Boss, and you DO THEM, and move on. (Or Quit, that’s okay, acceptable but sad option too). Why? Because that GETS THINGS DONE. It’s the MALE-oriented approach. There’s no committee. We don’t go back and second guess every decision we made yesterday. We don’t make Vance, the Media, Fox News, or Raytheon happy. DGAF if they they FEEEEEEL bad, DGAF if they’re happy, we considered like 500 things when we made the decision, how much heat you get is one of them, but it’s only a 1/500th, and not very large. And then you move on.
For the love of Christ, why do I have to explain this to people? Is this not happening in your workplace every day, or not for decades so we all forgot? Boss makes mistakes, we gather data, list mistakes, present it to him, he either reverses or doesn’t. We move on. Like MEN. Get your -ss to work.
