The tide is turning. This is from the r/portland in reddit where the comments have been viciously pro-mask, pro-vaccine:
Multnomah County is very close to 80% vaccinated for the entire population, with the 65+ crowd a whopping 95%. I personally have three doses, and I am sure many on here do too in addition people will be getting another sickness to bolster antibodies.
I think we need to rethink our strategies here from containment and fighting it every step to adapting and yes living with it. I would even say as we crest this next peak at the end of the month that includes doing away with many mask mandates and to let private businesses and individuals handle their safety on their own terms. I would argue even the most stringent mask wearers feel the same sentiment after two years.
We have a lot of tools to deal with this and we know a lot more about it and we need to start thinking about the other implications of this health pandemic and the disruptions it has caused…and this isn’t conspiratorial but I think we’re closer to a civil war than we have ever been and this is just another wedge issue.
I know this will come off as controversial, but I know I am not alone “rational” people also feel this way at this juncture in time.
Only a month ago a comment like this would be downvoted to oblivion and called out as anti-vaxx misinformation but now it is acceptable and upvoted. The replies to this do say that it is still important to get vaccinated. No mention ever of other early treatment options.

January 25, 2022 at 9:43 pm #99054choochParticipantOSHA Withdraws COVID-19 Vaccination-or-Test Emergency Temporary Standard (US)
“Although the ETS is now officially no more, the notice issued by OSHA withdrawing it did note that it was not withdrawing the ETS to the extent it serves as a proposed rule under the rulemaking provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act). That means that OSHA may still pursue some form of rule requiring employers to mandate vaccination or testing, but the process for any such rule will follow the ordinary rulemaking notice-and-comment process, rather than the expedited emergency process OSHA employed in implementing the now-withdrawn ETS. It is additionally possible that OSHA may attempt to impose ETS-like requirements on a smaller scale, targeted at specific industries, but that remains to be seen. For now, employers that were to be covered by the ETS no longer need to plan for the possibility of its applicability or enforcement; however, all employers must continue to take appropriate, reasonable COVID-19 workplace infection control and mitigation measures consistent with the General Duty Clause in the OSH Act, which requires that employers provide their employees with a working environment “free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm.”

So, your opinion is that Neil Young is giving Spotify an ultimatum?
January 25, 2022 at 10:16 pm #99057deflationistaParticipantMy husband’s reference to Anne Frank at a mandate rally in D.C. was reprehensible and insensitive. The atrocities that millions endured during the Holocaust should never be compared to anyone or anything. His opinions are not a reflection of my own.

January 25, 2022 at 11:09 pm #99061Dr. DParticipantI believe it’s what YOU are saying. He is giving Spotify an ultimatum, and that ultimatum is moral and appropriate.
“Ultimatum: a final, uncompromising demand or set of terms issued by a party to a dispute, the rejection of which may lead to a severance of relations or to the use of force”
The media can’t be bothered to ask. If he is pulling it period, without discussion, and wouldn’t reverse even if Spotify agrees, it’s not technically an ultimatum. That would also be stubborn and stupid, since now his actions have no possible means of effecting the change he proposes.
If he IS giving Spotify an ultimatum, that’s his choice, however to my mind runs two ways: One, you pull your stuff because YOU want to stop your work. Okay, fine. The other is, you pull your stuff to leverage the shopowner into canning the COMPETITION’S work. Ye shall have no other Gods before me. My way or the highway. Don’t you know who I am?
So his job here is what? He’s just one tiny vendor to a whole department store, and he says “you can’t sell my gator boots unless you get rid of Chanel No 5.”
Bwahahahaaha. Just kidding. Nobody gives a s–t if Young and his gator boots get sold compared to 5 MILLION customers A WEEK. Get lost. We’re keeping Coco Chanel and Revlon. I think we’ll be fine. His choice, I guess, but getting your competitors canned rather than doing your own work is generally considered the height of self-centered douchebaggery. But your mileage may vary. Some of it depends on proving motive. I don’t think he’s a bad guy. Just stupid, selfish, and lost. He should get out more and ask the opinions of others.

There has been a zipper of medium strength earthquakes running from Tonga to New Zealand in the last 24 hours. I think it is pretty clear that Gaia wants the virgin Ardern to be thrown into the Tonga volcano to appease the earth gods. If she really wanted to save NZ, it’s what she ought to do. Clearly, cancelling her wedding was a realization of this.
/s, sort ofJanuary 25, 2022 at 11:27 pm #99064willemParticipantI believe I read just today that Young sold the rights to 50% of his work some time ago, hence cannot unilaterally stop Spotify from carrying them.
BTW, if you have been frustrated by the results you’ve gotten with talking your friends and/or loved ones “off the ledge”, I read what I thought was a rather insightful take on why this is (I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that it seems obvious in retrospect):

I disagree.
An ultimatum would go something like this:
You better do X, or I will do Y.
This situation is more like this:
I am doing Y, because you are doing X.
Same result, different tactics.

January 26, 2022 at 12:41 am #99072absolute galoreParticipantI liked Neil Young for a little while 40 years ago. I even bought his “Rockabilly” album. He is in no position to offer any ultimatum that anyone would take seriously. Although it does seem like maybe he sorta tried to issue one but didn’t get the memo on exactly how to do it:
“Please act on this immediately today and keep me informed of the time schedule,” the statement continues. “I want you to let Spotify know immediately today that I want all of my music off their platform. They can have Rogan or Young. Not both.”
The last two sentences are an ultimatum. Unfortunately he canceled it out in the previous two sentences. Maybe that’s why he took the letter down from his website so his handlers can edit it for him. I’m sure Spotify is anxiously waiting to hear what Mr. Young will do. Weird that the whole Joe Rogan thing has been going on for months and Young just decided to make his big move now. I guess once you are a star, the need for attention never goes away.January 26, 2022 at 12:51 am #99073those darned kidsParticipantbrainiacs!: time to chew: https://thehotstar.net/separatebatches.html

None of these appear in VAERS. Why would they? Below is a screenshot of the Table where you can find these ‘special VAX LOTs’. This sure does seem supportive of my idea (that I had a year ago) that at least 1/3 of all all the Pfizer batches placebo. It would explain a lot in Israel.

January 26, 2022 at 2:20 am #99076₿oogalooParticipantI enjoyed watching the two hour exchange between Bret Weinstein and Chris Martenson. Congratulations to both of them as they take a well-deserved victory lap. The official narrative has truly broken down, vindicating Malone, Kory, Marik, McCullough, Rose, van den Bossche, Lawrie and others. Although truth is on their side, truth is not as well funded as the now-discredited Fauci-Baric-Batwoman-Gates-Tedros-Walensky camp that has tried to destroy them. I really hope that some of them go to jail.
