I think I can summarize a small but remarkable later segment of the long series of escapades and strange occurrences you asked about (1973 is WAY late in the sequence of remarkable events) by briefly but accurately reporting the following:
In 1973 a mental patient named Paul (and he belonged under care) was evicted without notice from the secure wing of the Missouri Institute of Psychiatry (MIP), where he had spent the past 20 years of his life as a consequence of being found not guilty by reason of insanity, for blowing something up. He was a model patient, so many of those years were spent as a sort of unofficial Trustee Janitor at the Institute where he had free access to all of the Doctors offices, mail, file cabinets and trash bins. He kept himself busy rummaging through their stuff and after decades at it he had collected many boxes of hard evidence proof that the Institute had been doing illegal human trials of experimental psychotropic drugs on the institutes inmate patients.It had all been done in exchange for lots of money from Big Pharma companies like Squibb, LaRoche and Geigy. When they dumped Paul, penniless, onto the streets it pissed him off and he sought vengeance so he took the documents to the Rev Fredrick M Rock (Scientologist) who turned the AMAZINGLY well documented crimes into a front page scandal that rocked St Louis for weeks and soon spread to other cities.
I was Fred’s assistant, and flogged the story everywhere. It went viral, and the head of CIA at the time (Bill Colby) came to St Louis, personally and spent days in closed meetings with various St Louis big shots to squelch the story and silence Fred. Colby accomplished that objective locally using the St Louis newspapers, TV Stations and business organizations, but by then it was too late. The story had already spread, and the CIA involvement became known. It turned out that the MIP drug experiments were a tiny but well documented part of the now infamous CIA MK Programs. MK stands for Mind Kontrol. The term is slightly Germanized because the perpetrators were WW2 vintage Nazi’s. Many, if not most, of the still escalating crises today had their beginnings in the expose’ that Fred, Paul and little old me lit back then in 1973, because that was when the CIA started to actually lose control of the secrecy and consequently the narrative. I’ve often wondered why those guys never bothered to shoot Fred or go after me. Too inconsequential to make a difference, I suppose, but I still wonder.
The above is super-shortened because I hate typing, and is about 5% of the weird “coincidences” which if laid end-to-end would stretch from my birth until this afternoon, and still rolling. I’m obsessed with finding out what happens next. Will try to keep you posted.
