    Bill,

I give Putin, XI, Erdogan et al. a 80/20 chance of actually being card-carrying members of “The *Big* Club, playing their roles as assigned to deal with the overpopulation of “grubbers” 😐

It’s all theater ~ “The Plan” appears to be proceeding ahead of schedule…

But I’m sure that won’t dissuade “true believers” from carrying water for “The *Big* Club” through continued obsession with disinfo mantras & tools (like AGW, progressive/conservative ideologies, complaining about “selected” puppets, ad nauseum), rather than identify the problem & begin persuading “We The People” to seek *peaceful* solutions to the maelstrom upon us.

Hell, off-and-on I’ve spent (with others) almost 30 years trying to enlighten people to the fact that “Emergency Powers” is the Achilles heel of the “The *BIG* Club”, but even the TAE commentariat more-or-less ignored this unconstitutional poison, when ending it is *THE* kryptonite power against the unending juggernaut of rape, pillage, plunder & murder rolling over humanity 😐

Yesterday I was stripped of my board certifications in Internal Medicine and Cardiology after decades of perfect clinical performance, board scores, and hundreds of peer reviewed publications.

None of this will stop until there is a “needle in every arm.”

I recently read that R. Crumb illustrated some of Bukowski’s stuff. Now *that’s* worth tracking down.
At the moment I’m slowly, deliciously reading ‘Women’, which is not for those of High Moral Character.

The post containing the facts about Polands treatment was not to say , “Poland good,Russia bad” , it is to illustrate how we got here.I could post facts about other countries that lived under communist Russia , there a quite few of them!
Yes Poland has done it’s part in previous wars too ,Europe has been at war for ever and will always be at war for ever . The world has always been a bloody place and always will be.
The point is in the latest round of aggression and violence in Europe , WW2 , Russia took over the role of aggressor and occupier from Germany and did not let go of it’s occupation of Eastern Europe until the 80’s and finally it all ended with Russia falling apart in the 90’s.
The point is that in Poland and other Eastern European countries people lived under Russian control and persecution and lot of those people are still alive and still remember it . It was not fun for them. It is not ancient history, any person who was born in Poland or any other Russian occupied countries in the 60’s and 70’s lived through it and still alive now , inshalah.
So why do TAE folk have such glorified views about Russia and Putin?
Western Europe only escaped the same fate as Eastern Europe because they allied with the US. Comintern was a real thing, it was Russia’s plan for global domination.
Is is any wonder that NATO was formed after the war and that most of Eastern Europe wanted to have an alliance with the US and Europe as the memories of the Russian occupation was and still is very fresh in their minds? Is it any wonder that NATO expanded to Russia’s borders? Did not the Eastern Europeans cooperate willingly in that expansion for their own protection?
Do they still harbour resentment and suspicion of Russia? yes . Does Russia still hate them and want to dominate them? Yes. Made for each other!
Germany seems to have made it’s peace with Europe since it’s defeat , Poland still wants more reparations but did Russia ever make any reparations or apologies or convene any reconciliation talks to try to reconcile for their enslaving Eastern Europe and dilute the hatred that still simmers , I don’t think so.
In fact Putin has the described the dissolution of communism in Russia as a disaster and wants all the old Soviet territories back. Europeans know that. Well so did Germany after WW1 and they went to war to get it and more and Russia has to do the same, that’s how it works.
Crimea and the ethnic Russian parts of Ukraine were ceded to Ukraine by the then Russian communist dictator at that time , legally. It was not annexed by Ukraine.
So to take it back means war , that is what is happening. The SMO and talk of Nazis etc. is just cover for rebuilding the Russian empire and to make what is a war for acquisition of territory look like a humanitarian action , they have learned from the West!
Why any body would think that an alliance between the communist dictatorship in China, the Schitso rocket boy dictator in North Korea who starves his people to feed his nuclear war fetish, a fanatical religious dictatorship in Iran who treats their people no better than the US puppet Shah, did plus South Africa , white murdering , corrupted to the core racists and other sundry misfit countries that are in constant social and economic drama , why anybody would believe with fervour their hegemony is going to be any way superior or better than the present hegemony is beyond naivety bordering on stupidity.
People on TAE seem to be obsessed with the idea that once all of the folk in the West are starving , freezing , without any energy and reduced to dying enmass that the world will be put right again and peace and love will reign forever ,( laughing inwardly.)
Russia is already sanctioning the West , it has it’s military in Syria , Libya , Africa and Venezuela and that will grow as they gain power. China is already sanctioning Australia , and militarising the Pacific ,and that will grow as the West weakens , so it will be the same old shit with different actors , no real change.

As for climate change the climate has always changed and always will , change is the nature of a phenomenal world. Are humans most likely influencing that change? Most likely. Can that be proved beyond any shadow of a doubt ? Not likely. Will the concept be used by elite groups to enrich them selves? Absolutely.
As for Western collapse that you all seem to be pining for, if you get your wish and you ain’t prepared it’s gunna hurt if you don’t have a stand alone solar powered place. Remember those old black and white videos of European refugees pushing hand carts about , wet and cold and miserable?
Well that is going to be you if you are not prepared. While you push your handcart around the countryside hunting and gathering old mate with his solar system will have lights, refrigeration , (preserving food is paramount for survival ) transport and communications . No need to abandon the house , go and get your shit by vehicle and come back home to the hearth. Guns will be required to keep the unprepared from trying to take you over , but that will apply all around. Having weapons will be of ultimate importance. So if you get your wish and you ain’t done nothing to prepare…….best dig your own grave ’cause only the best prepared will survive.
The townies will be in very deep doo doo as they will be out on foot without shelter trying to find food. Having some acreage in the country with game , wood and water will be very advantageous , couple that with your solar energy and you are looking good. Mind out what you wish for now.

and is the West fucked up to some degree? Well yes but shit can always get worse.

Sun is out , birds are warbling , grass is growing , critters are eating it , we eat the critters.

    Redneck,

In college (about the time Rocky IV came out) I had a chance to go to Russia with the Russia club. Regret not taking the opportunity. I have worked with a few over the years nothing to note.

Looks like mobilization exceeded targets and the lines of combat have been fortified. Russia TV seems like a good proxy on how things are going and it seems they have emerged from denial/anger. With the weather things will slow down so pretty much artillery dodge ball until one side finds a weakness to exploit. If things stay stalled, maybe the calls for descalation can gain traction,

    Anyway, taking a break.

Met this middle aged yank yesterday, a true liberal. I use the Jeff Schnitt definition of a liberal: liberal is the “ideaology of professionals” where they are is progressive on decisions that are not close to them, but conservative on decisions which are close to them, giving the impression of being open minded by are basically frauds.

The yank was saying how amazing the USA is, so I asked him why so many tourists complain of homeless in SF, given that California is the fifth richest economy in the world, so it is not for lack of cash. He claimed that the reason was that California is sunny, who wouldn’t want to live in a beautiful sunny state like California. I asked him why money was not spent on fixing this problem and he claimed there is no solution. I then asked him why there are very few homeless in Florida, which is also a beautiful sunshine state. His response was “Because of the police, they arrest them all” to which I reply, so there is a solution, why doesn’t California fix the problem. His response was that “People want to allow them to live on the street”. I reply, so you choose to let them live on the street, it has nothing to do with the sunshine. He replies “The great thing about California is that I get to keep the money I earn and I don’t have to worry about or see those homeless bums”.

Ahh, I see, the progressives don’t care about the homeless, they just hand over that responsibility to government so that they do not have to personally deal with it. I hate liberals even more now. Not only are they happy to fuck other peoples’ lives up, they do it under the pretense of caring for those other people when really they retain all the old school views “homeless are bums” that they use to justify labeling Trump supporters as bigots.

I expected him to at least give an excuse like “Nurses working in the bay area cannot afford rent so they have to live in their cars or on the street” or something kind of considerate and realistic like that. Nah, he is a liberal, he doesn’t care about those people which is why so many live on the street. What i learned was that they use the suffering of others to prove that California is better than any other state. The suffering come to our state, so it must be good. They want these people to be on the street, it shows their virtue.

    Hi WES:

Regarding the special wood chopping/splitting tools that I bought last year,

I love the helmet with integrated face shied and ear defenders

I also love the technical chaps, chainsaw gloves and boots which prevent injury especially ankles on dangerous ground.

    I converted two logs into 4 x 4.

I think the next time I will try the 26 inch hand rip saw instead of the chainsaw mill for the physical and mental experience.

I am using my gas chainsaw in the woods to cut trees down and log into sections I can carry.

I worked like a mountain goat cutting and carrying log sections from trees somewhat blocking the sun on the panels.

I cut the log sections into 16 inch stove sections on the stone deck at the cabin using my electric STIHL 250 C (120V 15A).

All the hand tools are required if lacking petroleum products or electricity which has not occurred.

I split the stove log sections with with an electric hydraulic splitter which is old so I have another as backup.

I am still harvesting, splitting and packing. It keeps me in shape.

    Regarding the flax,

Flooded three times this year so I will try the greenhouse next year.

The 5 survivor plants produced 30 flax seeds.

    Regarding food,

Dad and I got a moose and freezer to put it in.

I recently assembled my Christmas gift
    18.5 Gal Stainless Steel Fermenter:
alcohol distiller 70 L/18.5 Gal capacity
able to distill about 17.5 kg rice at one time by heating to boiling selectively and then cooling to condense the vapor
constructed of 304 food-grade stainless steel

I also have 25 kg / 55 lb of Blackstrap Molasses so an adventure in rum making once I have time and research.

Perhaps someone here could point me to a site for the rum making.

    Good rant!

P.S. In 1983, I worked for 6 months in a Siberian coal mine building electric blast hole drills. The drills could punch a 14″ diameter hole through solid rock at the rate of a meter per minute. Far superior to the little 4″ churn drills the Russian had.

(A churn drill is like using an “X” pointed hand chisel and hitting it with a sledge hammer, then rotating the chisel and hitting it again! We in the west stop using churn drills in late 1940s early 1950s.)

Despite my best efforts to save the USSR, clearly I failed!

Thanks for the very good update! Enjoy the moose burgers!

I kind of forgot Newfoundland got hit by both a hurricane and a himicane. Probably didn’t do the rest of your outdoor garden any favors either.

Can you grow tomatoes in your green house?

Making rum are you? You are supposed to be making Newfie screech! Guess these days there are no good sources of empty wooden molasses barrels available to make the screech from! At least rum warms up your innards, especially on a long cold winter night, sitting by a woodstove. The rum can even be served in a nice hot drink too.

Reminds me of Newfoundland’s very colorful liquor smuggling folklore in the days of olde!

So uplifting to see Putin quoted so extensively yesterday on TAE. Unfortunately, and frustratingly, so few in the west get to process and consider the position and points of view aired openly by this important world leader. The saturation of peoples minds with poisonous invective through the MSM, has to be, in our opinion, the most evil abomination being done to mankind in our world today. The MSM moves from one psy-op to the next. The current ‘story’ capturing our incredulity is the way ‘Putin’s War’ is portrayed in the UK Daily Mail, and no doubt most outlets. The level of hatred directed at Putin is cringeworthy, spiteful, embarrassing and maybe desperate. Putin is ‘deranged’, he’s a ‘despot’, he’s ‘depraved’. He’s the scapegoat to take the blame for all that is wrong with the world, including, most recently, ‘mass starvation’ in the Third World’. In our little backwater here in NZ, we notice several of our neighbours proudly flying Ukrainian flags. So brave and righteous. You have to give some credit to the players behind the scenes churning out the lies and twisting reality, who have taken the MSM and used it to totally manipulate the perceptions and emotions of the man in the street. You could say they already have the means of almost total mind control. How can this MSM tragedy possibly ever be dismantled? It seems that most of the sheeple can’t or don’t want to wake up. Can’t see, won’t look.

SeaBirds, you and I and most on TAE know it cannot be dismantled. Total mind control = total mind control. And the controller know it.

However, there is no need to dismantle ‘the system’ because it is driving itself into a ditch. You could even say it has already driven itself into a ditch.

Perhaps that is not the best analogy. Let’s say it has driven itself off a cliff and is now in freefall.

Although the system is dragging everyone off the cliff with it, some of us are tethered to the system by thin threads and have parachutes. Our parachutes are opening as I write.

The dumbarses you refer to will hit the bottom around the same time the system does, and most will be annihilated.

Those of us who bothered to construct parachutes and cut most our ties to the system may or may not glide softy to the ground after the system annihilates itself upon impact with reality, reality being Peak Oil and declining liquid fuel availability, unravelling of fiat currencies, unravelling of industrial food production and distribution etc.

There is no escaping the Planetary Meltdown that the money-lenders and military industrial complex have set in motion. All one can do is ensure one is in a location that is of low reasonably vulnerability in the short term and implement the 20-point strategy I outlined a couple of weeks ago.

By the way, ‘we notice several of our neighbours proudly flying Ukrainian flags’; some people like to advertise the fact that they are uninformed fools. I wonder what they will do when Ukraine no longer exists (coming soon).

If Russia is what it claims to be then we should see them starting to push West right away. The need to have a fast decisive takeover of the annexed oblasts or their credibility of leading the new world order is kaput.
Agreed the state TV is the best barometer of what the people are thinking. Except I would bet a lot of folk are not happy with Putin and that will never be talked about openly on their shows. They are in the business of throwing shade for Putin , every one else is to blame but never the supreme commander.
    Take a break ol mate.

I know about churl drills ,the old timers used the hand held ones and the pneumatic airleg drillers still use a steel with type of cutting end , not a replaceable bit. The airlegs are pretty much gone now , those drillers were the real deal. All serious drills have used button bits for a long time now as long as I can remember. I mostly worked on what we call jumbo drill rigs underground, made in Sweden , electric hydraulic hammers , three to five meter steels with button bits. They have one two or three booms , wheeled with diesel power for tramming and 1000 v for drilling 50 mm holes about forty in a standard face about five by five meters.Gel primers and ANFO charges , electric dets and green cord with a Beethoven to fire , or the battery on your pickup if the Beethoven got lost or run over! Black powder fuse in my early days , alway exciting.Too many hydraulic hoses on those rigs for this old fitter , we used to be making and fitting hoses non stop. These days they are all bought in ready made , still gotta unwrap all the hose bagging fit the hose and bag it all up again, shit work but that’s where we all started underground. ’83 in Siberia , wow that would be something!

Expansion of the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1940[edit]
Main articles: Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, Soviet invasion of Poland, Territories of Poland annexed by the Soviet Union, Occupation of the Baltic states, Soviet occupation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina, Winter War, and Moscow Armistice
In 1939, the USSR entered into the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact with Nazi Germany[25] that contained a secret protocol that divided Romania, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland into German and Soviet spheres of influence.[25][26] Eastern Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Bessarabia in northern Romania were recognized as parts of the Soviet sphere of influence.[26] Lithuania was added in a second secret protocol in September 1939.[27]

“Also Ukrainian history started 24 March, 2022. There was no history between 21 November 2013 and then. There was no NATO coup. Nuland never said “F–k the EU, we’ll put in our boy Yats”. It’s all in your mind.

Of course NATO replaced the Russian puppet gov with a NATO puppet gov , that’s not in dispute , is it? However it is pretty obvious now that it was and is a popular decision , the Ukys did not turn against the Kiev regime when they had Ivan waiting outside to come in and and back them up and they have definitely demonstrated on the battlefield that they don’t have any soft spot for Russia.
I can’t cover every fact , I don’t think there is enough space in the comments for that and definitely not enough time in my day.
I see that the Russians are pulling down the Holodomor memorials installed by Kiev , must be in denial huh?

@Redneck. Ukraine was party to the USSR right at the start, so they only have themselves to blame for their current problems and their relationship with Russia which goes back a very long way. In comparison, NATO has zero standing or traditional or cultural ties to Ukraine, it is not and has never been a western country. The USA and NATO have taken over Ukraine in a thrid-world coup. The USA and NATO are expanding their empire.

Once NATO took over Ukraine they started killing Russians in the west of the country. Empire expansion and taunting of Russia, supported by other murdering fascists like the Australians and Poland. Their aim was obviously to do to Russia what they did to Ukraine, steal it.

But hey, your rosy history of Poland is interesting, i would love to know where you read it. The history of how and why Poland came into existence thanks to WW1 and why they were a pawn in WW2 that tried to settle past grievances, including the creation of Poland, shoul dbe read here … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Poland. Anyway, Poland basically has very little to do with Ukraine, you can pretend to cry that Russia was bad to them, but read the history.

All countries have done bad things in the past including your idol the USA and your abode Australia. In fact Australia seem to be a bloodthirsty lot, now wanting to help Taiwan to fight mainland China. What business is Taiwan to Australia? About as much business as Ukraine is to the USA. Australia want to help their boss the USA, the world serial killer, to expand its empire.

Really, did you ask the dead Russians in the east of the country, the ones that started to be killed by the NATO puppet installed after the NATO empire expanding coup? Do you think the fact that the people who took over where willing to shoot innocent civilians in the maidan square – Eastern Ukraininans no less – may have had anything to do with the people not protesting in the maidan square? Possible isn’t it.

The foreign NATO regime took over their country, shoots lots of innocent eastern Ukraininans but now they are “supporting” the brothers and sisters of the dead Ukrainians to fight their war. Why do you think they used the Ukraine Nazis to shoot desserters, because they are all so happy that NATO stole their country?

Your logic is absurd, your comment could have been written by the empire of lies.

I don’t mind if Ivan kicks Uky’s arse , I don’t mind if Uky kicks Russia’s arse. I don’t mind if Russia kicks NATO’s arse and visa versa. Get it?
As I keep saying I am just adding a little balance to a very one sided group who have very deep seated bias against the West and are blind to any faults on the other side.
Poland is just one example of almost all the Eastern European countries that have joined NATO because they were raped by Russia not so long ago and want to band together for protection from the same happening again. I used the example of Poland but I could have used the example of a lot of other countries in the East.
    How about Finland for example.

The Winter War, also known as the First Soviet-Finnish War, was a war between the Soviet Union and Finland. The war began with a Soviet invasion of Finland …

Russia is pulling down the Holodomor memorials in Ukraine , it reminds of the historical revisionism of BLM . Putin is rewriting history where Stalin is a really good bloke and every one should love and respect the man who starved six million Ukys to death so he could sell their grain for hard currency. They are denying their recent history , that don’t help the situation.

So can you see why it was so easy for the US to get Regime change in Kiev and why the majority of Ukys and the rest of Europe have no love for the Russians.
.Without this hatred and desire for revenge the US could not have triggered this war. The entire can of worms is a direct result of the Russian actions in Eastern Europe since they invaded Poland in 1940. If Russia had not occupied Eastern Europe and been so malevolent , the US could not have engineered the war, correct ? Do you agree? Only the Far East of Ukraine supports Russia , an estimated fifteen percent of Ukrainians
It is not to say Russia , Russia , Russia is a bogey man , it is not an anti Russian , pro NATO beat up , it is a simple statement of fact as to how the war was able to be engineered by NATO and why there will never in the foreseeable future be any love lost between Europe and Russia.
In Ukraine’s case it is all founded on Stalin’s treatment of Ukraine . I have already illustrated Poland’s case.
Russia has never atoned for it’s invasion and occupation of Europe , Germany has to a large degree.
The hatred between the Europeans and Russia will last for generations more unless there is a formal reconciliation process but both sides will have to want it. Until then I don’t expect to see any cooperation for a very long time.
So let’s see the Russians prove they have the capability and the stomach to take back their newly annexed territories there is no room for any more excuses.
As far as Australians fighting for Taiwan that is all hubris. We are an ally of the US and do their bidding. The US will not fight for Taiwan directly either , it will be a proxy war if it occurs. The anti Chinx sentiments are popular in Australia since the Chinx put sanctions on us for stating that it might be a good idea to find out how the Rona got started in China, it was not Taiwan related .
The real reason was that ASIO made some statements about the Chinx penetration of Australian politics and there political interventions in our Universities. They operate their own enforcement regime inside Australia against any anti Chinese persons , both Australian citizens and Chinese nationals.
You might have noticed our Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister in waiting is a Chinx and probably a CCP operative/sympathiser. They are very entrenched here and own huge sections of our economy. They are mercantile colonialists.
