If the lessons and wisdom of each generation are not passed on IN FULL (including the art and science of growing old, frail and dying) to the upcoming generation, then that wisdom and those lessons will have to be re-discovered and re-learned from scratch, if they’re lucky. Most of the time the wisdom and lessons and solutions are simply lost forever.
BEWARE! if that vital link between old and young is cut for even a single generation (two or three at the most) then that society will fail and vanish for certain. It has no chance of survival as a society whatsoever.
You ARE your brother’s keeper, and your parents and children as well. Forget that wisdom and lesson and you might as well just die right now and save yourself the horrible pain of an agonizingly slow but certain demise and then dying anyway.
