I’ve been thinking about this the last couple of days. About 10 years ago I was responsible for the treasury and debt accounting for a large corporation and we had 10’s to 100’s of millions of $ of debt and parts of it were tied to LIBOR rates. Not that anyone here should worry the slightest about this corp, but the point is if money was being skimmed there, most likely it is being skimmed everywhere and those $ are being pulled out of the economy to do what? Enrich Bansters who are doing what with said $?

Along those lines, the latest post from London Banker:

    https://londonbanker.blogspot.com/

“ Global banks have built the casinos and tilted the odds in the house’s favour by rigging the data that determines the outcomes of most of the bets on the table. Every one of us that sits at the table long enough – whether saver, investor, borrower, taxpayer or pensioner – will be a loser. It is not a flaw; it is feature.”

    Jal,

    #1 Not sure

#2 Personally, I would consider it imprisonment and slavery. But apparently if you are a shill for the elites, it’s just a great example of efficient enterprise.

#3 Hmmm, say a citizen of Greece has no personal debt, but the country does, and as such he loses his job, or has to take reduced wages through “Austerty”. Is not the effect then the same as if he was paying part or all of his income to pay off a personal debt? So yes, very much possible as the person had no choice.

    NZSanctuary,

I agree. Certainly the infrastructure and systems that carry out electronic commerce are vulnerable to hacking, and certainly there are elements within our government here that would love nothing better than to restrict access to or increase the surveillance of the masses with regard to online activities.

I have an acquaintance at BofA, (pour soul) and this person has told me that they are really tightening employee security, i.e. what they can do at work, email etc. and that the bank’s systems are under constant attack.

p.s. Really enjoyed my trip there back in ’08. Lots of inexpensive food and great beer, not to mention NZ’s natural beauty of course.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but “Inland Revenue” is Greece’s version of the IRS. That would be interesting to see happen. i.e. If the government is illegitimate, then the tax debts owed said government are also illegitimate. And the assumption is that said debts are just being transferred to the bankers.

As to Anonymous erasing peoples bank debts, “Good Luck!” I am a former banker and based on my experience, any major European bank that isn’t dumber than a rock will have their account/loan data backed up in multiple places, not connected to the internet, probably underground, and even possibly on different continents. Then there’s the original loan documents themselves, they wouldn’t destroy them would they? Oh that’s right MERS here in the States!

    Ash,

Regarding your comment on the police. As I’m sure you know, when the Police / Military refuse to fight / control their fellow citizens, the jig is up for whoever is giving the orders. So it is an important announcement.

It may be symbolic now, but if it becomes a real threat, then the Union will only have a few options, take a loss on their “investment” and cut Greece loose, intervene militarily from outside, or negotiate some other agreement which will be acceptable to the Greek people but will certainly be unacceptable to the banks. But I’m sure I’m missing something here.

Congrats on the new site guys. Thanks for keeping me sane…I think…

As to the OWS, I think it’s too early still to say what it’s affect will be here in the states. It did seem to change the media narrative this fall. But that only made the media slightly less worthless. I do think for good or ill that OWS (Thanks Glenda) will be out in force this spring, summer and fall.

I for one may not be out in the streets, but I don’t hesitate to share my opinion (which is broadly similar to TAE’s) and for sure that doesn’t make me popular at times. But it’s clear to me where the road we are currently on is going. I just don’t know when we will get to our final destination. If I’m wrong, well then life will be good, just less profitable from a monetary perspective. I can live with that. B)
