Dr. D. Rich:. I don’t avoid my Canadian Chinese friends either! But then they haven’t recently travelled to Wuhan! Nor are they willing to travel to China anymore than I would! They know the CCP!
Notice also how many coming back to North America are self quarantining themselves out of an abundance of caution! So they do care!
Spain had to cancel their World Mobility convention because over 5000 Chinese were expected to travel to the convention! The problem is China doesn’t have the virus under control yet they have no problems letting their people travel the world spreading the virus!
I saw a world travel map of 60,000 Chinese out of 5 million who left from Wuhan in the last few weeks. There is no country they did not travel to!
Having lived and worked a few years in Africa (4 countries), I can tell you there is next to no existing medical services! The Chinese from Wuhan blanketed Africa! Very few African countries have any test kits! Their health authorities publically admit this! If even one case hits them they are in big trouble and they know it!
We all know China doesn’t have sufficient test kits to test more than a few thousand a day! What is scarier is we here don’t have very many test kits either! We have less than the Chinese do! Also we now know repeated tests are often required! This is a tricky virus to deal with!
My brother in Detroit has many coworkers/friends in China and he says they are being hit very hard by this virus, example kids schools cancelled, etc.
I also think the way the Chinese government has been dealing with this is self defeating! They are handling it as a security problem not a health issue! That seems to have only made matters worst!
And no I am not going to stop eating Chinese food!

Reminds me when I gave my Russian interpretor a small box of Sunkist raisins back in 1983. She ate the raisins happily but then spoiled it by asking me what the black and white bar codes on the bottom of the box were for!

Since China is doing nothing to contain the covid-19 virus, it is now up to the rest of the world to try and contain it.

One by one, companies cancelled their attendance! No doubt this was triggered by the companies’ own employees not wanting to catch the virus!
Basically if where ever you want to go is going to have any Chinese there, then you don’t want to go there!

Correcting these figures requires adding a zero at the end and then multiplying by your favorite fudge factor number between 1 and 9!
So deaths to date 1300 x 10 = 13,000 x 5 = 65,000! Seems more believe able!

This supports the 25,000 to 50,000 numbers of actual deaths.
By lying the CCP is ensuring this spreads gobally!

I wear google’s for my UV B light treatments for 305 – 315 nm wavelengths which supposedly burn the least in the UV B wavelength 280 – 315 nm range.
I see the quarantined ship in Japan as the only realistic window we have on the coronavirus. This situation provides the only creditable numbers we have.
My guess is we will see secondary waves of infections soon.
As for Africa count on the Chinese there to hide any outbreaks.

The best medical personnel are non-African! And I don’t mean non-existant Europeans! Some of the best doctors are from India!
I can tell you most native Africans do not trust their own native Africans doctors!
If the CCP can no longer hide the coronavirus then obviously renaming it as benign NCP is just the ticket!

Here is the thing. When it gets serious, the government has to lie to us!
It is serious if about 25% of those who get the coronavirus require serious medical intervention and of these about 4% still die.
Imagine what the true death toll is in a place like Wuhan where those who need serious medical intervention are simply denied such access? Could it be 25%? Nobody is telling!
Quarantining people for just 14 days is not going to stop the spread of this virus. These big quarantined cruise ships are unwittingly test labs! I bet these ships will be there much longer than 14 days as the second and third waves strike! No politican will dare to let these ship’s passengers disembark!
Testing just once will not screen out those with the virus. Second and third rounds of testing have now been proven to be necessary,. Many first tests have been negative requiring a second test to confirm the presence of the virus.
I see the White House wants to know if this coronavirus was bio-engineered!
Government actions tell us that which they can not say publically!
The Fed needs to call a plumber urgently!
There are simply not enough liquidity faucets at the Fed to satisfy all the thirsty!
The Fed needs to install more liquidity faucets to replace all the savers it killed!

First the DNC is a private club (and you ain’t in it!). It is free to set it’s own rules.
The DNC is also free to change the rules in the middle of the game! It has been doing this like, forever!
As such, there is nothing Democratic about the DNC! It is as Democratic as is the communist party!

Observing China’s response to the coronavirus one can’t help but notice the predictable manner in which the CCP has reacted.
The CCP stays in power via it’s police state. Whenever the CCP sees anything that it perceives is a threat to its power, it’s first reaction is to deploy it’s police state.
The coronavirus was perceived to be a threat. The CCP quickly deployed it’s police state.
The number of people that die is basically irrelevant. Staying in power is the only thing that is relevant.
So if you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail!

I did see a video showing a backlog of bodies waiting to be burned.
I suspect your figures are closer to the truth than the so called official figures are.
Raul:. I know you will probably laugh, but you know the coronavirus is serious when the powers to be, besides lying to us, are busy knocking down the price of gold and trying to boost paper markets!

About modelling. I studied electrical engineering. We used mathematical models to predict how our electrical circuits would work. Then we would build the circuit and obtain real world results.
Normally variations between calculated results and real results were small i.e. less than 10% and often less than 5%.
The differences were mostly the result of electrical circuit component tolerances.
The thing is, our models were constantly checked against real measureable results. This brings a measure of confidence in one’s modelling abilities.
However, the same level of confidence can not be obtained when modelling intangible things!
First there is nothing to measure! Then there is no way to measure intangibles!
Thus there is no feedback mechanism to verify one’s model!
Economic models are a case in point! Their dismal modelling is pie in the sky!
Climate models are another example of terrible modelling that inspires little confidence!
Now these medical scientists who tried modelling the coronavirus are very smart people! At least they admit their modelling is full of assumptions! Change almost any variable and you get dramatically different results!
What I find alarming in their modelling is how changing certain assumptions doesn’t alter the outcome! That part of the model is really useful for us to know!
That is why we need to remain wary of what our government is telling us!
When it gets serious they have to lie to us!
So all we are left with is watching what actions our governments are taking.
They are quarantining people for 2 weeks for now.
I think we will soon find out that 2 weeks of quarantining people is insufficient time to stop the spread of this virus!
Another thing we are finding out is people need to be tested multiple times as often the first test is negative!
When it comes to the coronavirus, despite being a rather mathematically challenged engineer, I still believe, rightly or wrongly, in the power of compounding!
I will first admit, central banker’s NIRPs, shook my beliefs in the power of compounding severely.
None-the-less, since central bankers now appear to be pushing on a string, my faith in the power of compounding has risen somewhat, because I am now dealing with communist beaurocrats!
Beaurocrats, communist or not, live only to stay in power tomorrow! This test ensures I am actually dealing with only positive power of compounding math!
As such, I recommend adding a “ZERO” to all “Official” government numbers to obtain a resultant number!
If any further doubt remains, I highly recommend multiplying the resultant number by a suitable “fudge factor” number to obtain a proper power of compounding resultant!
For example, to calculate the actual death toll, multiply 500 by 10 = 5000 then multiply by a fudge factor of 5 = 25,000 dead! See it works!
P.S. I here by attest that this mathematical model has actually been tested in over 30 countries including communist countries!
I know most people can’t believe the DNC would use an ACME app that doesn’t work to count Iowa’s votes.
That is not the case!
The American designed Shadow app worked exactly as it was supposed too!
The real Iowa results were hidden in the shadows of a back alley!
And nobody is talking about the real results either!
I would say the DNC got excellent value for their money!
What I find rather amusing is watching people like AOC running around trying to destroy the existing order of things! It never seems to occur to these types that they are not really in charge and are just being “used” by others!

I really admire how the DNC went about preventing Bernie from winning Iowa last night! And hiding Biden falling off the cliff too!
I thought for sure they would blame the Russians but instead they blamed Iowa!

The amazing thing is everybody deep down knows the DNC is out to get Bernie!
The only unknown part of this Dim soap opera is exactly how and when are they going to kill Bernie!
The Iowa Dem vote is hilarious!
Bernie got more votes but had to share them with everyone else!
That is what communism is all about! Sharing!
That way nobody loses! Nobody’s feelings got hurt!

Dave Note:. I have seen a comment from a doctor saying 25% of coronavirus patients need serious treatment to survive! So your 20% sounds accurate! This what they are really hiding!
Obviously without serious treatment the death toll could be as high as 25%!
Western governments are not saying so but their actions to quarantine for 2 weeks says a lot!
When it comes to the coronavirus what most people are missing is the lack of availability of tests to confirm cases.
Ijt isn’t just China! It also applies to the west too. We have very few test kits available!
That China’s medical system is over whelmed is no surprised. They are so over whelmed that they are simply leaving everyone to their own devices! Just go home and die!
Anyone who dies is automatically cremated no questions asked. Basically if you die outside of a hospital then you are not counted in official death totals.
So we know the official death totals only include those officially confirmed which are greatly limited by the lack of test kits.
I seriously doubt our medical system could cope with such great numbers either.
